Gravitational constant

Newton's constant

Empirical physical constant involved in the calculation(s) of gravitational force between two bodies. It usually appears in Newton's law of universal gravitation, and in Einstein's theory of general relativity. It should not be confused with "little g".

Note

G\ =\ 6,670\times10^{{-11}} \ {\mbox{N}}.\ {\mbox{m}}^{2}\ {\mbox{kg}} shall not be confused with « g » the gravitationnal acceleration
