Voltage divider
Simple linear circuit composed of two dipoles connected in series to which the tension we want to divide is applied. The end of the divider is made of the terminals of one of the dipoles.
Formula
If the two dipoles are resistances : U2/U = R2/(R1+R2) where U is the voltage and R the resistance. If one of the dipoles is reactive, the ratio U2/U vaires depending on the frequency.
